Bauer Built Manufacturing began building planter bars of their own design in 1989. Their concept was simple but effective, "Build the Best at a Fair Price". The planter bars we have been manufacturing since 1989 have now been shipped to farmers in 5 continents, and recognized internationally for their outstanding design features and heavy duty construction. They have also been noticed by the largest farm equipment manufacturer in the world, Deere and Co.

In May of 2002, Bauer Built Mfg. signed a partnership agreement with the John Deere Seeding Group. The contract calls for Bauer Built Manufacturing to manufacture and assemble 8 models of planters exclusively for John Deere Dealers. This agreement also allows Bauer Built Mfg. to market planter frames in other sizes and configurations through the Deere dealer network.

Due to the success of the partnership with Deere, it has been necessary for Bauer Built Mfg. to reinvest in our business:

• 2003: began production in 65,000 ft² facility
• 2004: built 6,500 ft² welding bay addition
• 2004: built 19,000 ft² addition for assembly
• 2006: built 23,250 ft² addition for plate laser & plasma
• 2008: built 48,000 ft² addition for tube lasers
• 2009: built 1,200 ft² office addition
